Sunday River is accepting applications for part time banquet positions in the Food and Beverage Department. Responsibilities include ,but are not limited to: ability to set up for banquets, serve for corporate functions, weddings and other banquet functions. T.I.P.S training preferred.
Previous experience preferred but may be willing to train the right person. Must be comfortable in a group setting and have the ability to communicate effectively with guests on a daily basis. There is extensive contact with guests and other team members. Ability to work as part of a time is a must.

Full time and Part time seasonal positions available for the season. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; preparing, greeting, and serving food to guests, cleaning and sanitizing the facility, and receiving payment for products sold. An outgoing person, able to meet and greet each and every customer, quickly and in a friendly manner is essential. Wait Staff
Sunday River is currently accepting applications for part time and full time Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Wait Staff for the 2011-2012 ski season.
Required are professional, outgoing and friendly individuals able to converse with guests, take accurate orders and deliver food in a timely manner to join us in serving our restaurant guests. Ability to memorize menu's at the restaurant as well as other mountain restaurants is essential.
Duties include but are not limited to push/pull/lift up to 25lbs., cash handling, busing tables, taking orders, and delivering food to guests. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment as well as a positive attitude are assets for these positions. Required are the ability to work a variety of shifts, including, days, nights, weekends and holidays. T.I.P.S. training and experience preferred.

Rounds Chef
The person will work in multiple kitchen at the resort and will also be responsible for Peak Dinners. Peak dinner responsibilities include creating menus with the resort culinary team, ordering the food, prepping, cooking, plating and presentation of the finished product. The person is responsible for the day's culinary operation of the unit they are working in. Duties include ordering, receiving, storage, prep, cooking, sanitation and food safety, for the Peak Lodge. In addition the person will work with the unit supervisor to insure proper staffing, service and sanitation of the unit. This is a hands on position requiring the ability to hire, train and manage a staff of up to 20 people The job requires the ability to provide above average quality products and service in a safe environment , while managing within the budgeted labor, supply and cost of goods guidelines. The person will work in the kitchen and must be have a strong knowledge of, and be able to use all standard kitchen equipment. This is a full time seasonal position.

Nail Technician
Seeking an outgoing, enthusiastic team player to join the Health Spa Team as a Licensed Nail Technician!
The Nail Technician position is responsible for maintaining a comfortable, professional atmosphere while offering various specialized services that help clients look and feel their best. They will be required to work specifically on nails and provide manicures, pedicures and polishing to clients. The nail technician must limit the resort's liability by always acting in a professional and highly ethical manner. They will also have a very active role in building and maintaining positive relationships with the owners of the Jordan Grand Hotel and its guests. Additional responsibilities may also include light housekeeping duties such as assisting with the cleaning of the spa area, the massage therapy rooms, the locker room areas in between use, retrieving used pool towels, replacing with fresh, etc State of Maine licensing is required. Lift Operator

Full time seasonal, part time seasonal positions available winter season of 2011-2012. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; safe preparation, start up and operation of aerial and surface lifts, inside and outside duties including lift operation, crowd control, ticket checking, mechanical and procedural checks of lift.
Must have desire to work outside, good customer service skills and train for lift operations responsibilities. Maine Law states that all Lift Operators must be 18 years of age.

Full-Time Year Round Position for a Lift Maintenance Electrician with 3+ years fixed grip and detachable experience. Must have knowledge of mechanical equipment, heavy rigging, line work, AC/DC drives, low voltages electrical control circuits, and hydraulic systems. This position requires working at heights in extreme weather conditions, creative problem solving, and the ability to ski or snowboard. Responsible for summer lift preventative maintenance program. Ticket Checker
Sunday River Mountain Operations has openings beginning early November 2011 for Ticket Checkers. These positions require outside work for the entire shift. Responsibilities include, setting of netting, directional and warning signage around the ski lifts, ensuring all lift passengers have valid lift tickets, assist guests with questions and comments, crowd control, shoveling, ice picking and other outdoor duties as assigned. This position requires extensive contact with resort guests so it is imperative that you have a friendly outgoing personality. This position requires weekend and holiday hours.

Ticket Checking Supervisor
Do you have what it takes to join the Sunday River Team? Are you outgoing and friendly? Do you have the skills and ability to supervise a team of ticket checkers to ensure guests have the appropriate tickets? Do you love working outside in all winter weather conditions? Then you need to come talk to the lift operations manager about the available ticket checker supervisor position. Sunday River is hiring a Ticket Checking Supervisor to over see the Ticket Checkers in the Mountain Operations Department. Duties include supervision of ticket checkers, assisting with the set up of staging areas, snow placement and removal, sign placement, address ticket checking issues at the lift and resolve the situation in a timely and appropriate manner. This position requires extensive time outside as well as extensive contact with guests and team members. These positions are full time seasonal with an anticipated start date of mid December.
Snowmaking Foreman
Sunday River is looking for a Snowmaking Foreman to join the team. The successful candidate will possess great planning skills, excellent communication skills, and will have a proven track record in trouble shooting and problem solving. Forman experience will be considered an asset, as will previous experience in snowmaking operations. Knowledge of safe operating practices is essential. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the capacity to manage multiple priorities within demanding time constraints and able to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances and situations are essential competencies. Operating snowmaking equipment on mountainous terrain in all types of weather including set up, start up, operation of and shut down of snowmaking equipment, checking snow gun functioning capacity and monitoring snow quality are also relevant competencies. The ideal candidate must be able to work flexible shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays and be able to negotiate all types of terrain while maneuvering snow making equipment. A willingness to work outside in all weather conditions is a must. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision while providing leadership and supervision to their team of snow makers. Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to lift, bend, kneel and carry a minimum of 40 lbs.

Sunday River is hiring for full time seasonal positions for the 2011-2012 ski season in the reservations department. The positions require excellent phone communication skills, willingness to work with the public, and the ability to sell the "Sunday River Experience." This position requires the ability to track the source of inbound calls, answer customer questions with accurate information and a willingness to work in other departments if needed. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment is crucial. Also required, occasional administrative duties to support the reservations office. Ski Patrollers: Seeking energetic, self-motivated team players to join our Mountain Operations team! Full time seasonal positions available winter season 2011-2012.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to; attending to the medical needs of injured guests and staff both on and off the hill, assist other mountain operations departments with on hill needs including snowmaking, lift operations and grooming, act as a resource to guests for resort information.
Must be able to ski or snowboard all terrain in all types of conditions. Medical skills such as EMT, OEC, and or WFR need to be current, and current AHA CPR and strong skier/snowboarder. Must be able to work well alone and in teams. Snow test will be given to qualified people. A valid drivers license is required.
