White Out Weekend

Sunday River has partnered with OutRyders, New England’s premier GLBTQ ski and snowboard club, and the DownEast Pride Alliance to bring you White Out Weekend (WOW), an entire weekend dedicated to the gay and lesbian community.

Thursday, February 7

• Welcome Party at The Phoenix, 8:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.
  Join us upstairs at The Phoenix restaurant and let's start this weekend off right! The night will include food and drink specials plus live entertainment.

Friday, February 8

• Meet n’ Ski at the Peak Lodge, 10:00 a.m.
• WOW Party at the Matterhorn, 9:00 p.m.
  Be who you are, come as who you want to be, and leave as the person you have become. Popular Boston '80s dance band, Fast Times, will be coming to rock you silly! Fast Times is a complete '80s extravaganza of nonstop high-energy, top notch performances in full costume. Tickets, $20.

Saturday, February 9

• Meet n’ Ski at the Peak Lodge, 10:00 a.m.
• Mardi Gras Parade in the Sky, 3:00 p.m–4:00 p.m.
  A little Mardi Gras fun before the Mardi Gras at the Peak Lodge tonight, and the feathers are going to fly! Twin Zips in South Ridge will be open for an hour to WOW VIP Passholders only, and anyone in Mardi Gras costume. If you’re in costume, you zip for free! Like anything good, this is worth both doing and watching.
• Après Ski Party at the Foggy Goggle, 3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.
  Live entertainment from The Peach Eaters, not just an Allman Brothers Tribute Band, but an Allman Brothers experience.
• Fireworks, 8:30 p.m.
  The fireworks are brought to us by RS Fireworks. Best spot to view? Undoubtedly the Foggy Goggle deck or slopeside at South Ridge!
• Mardi Gras Party at the Peak Lodge, doors open at 9:00 p.m. 
  You do not want to miss this party. So much happening, it will go down
  in history. Richard Blanco, the youngest and first openly gay inaugural
  poet who read at President Obama's second inauguration this month,
  will kick off the evening at 9:30 sharp with a poem. Then, Boston-based
  fashion show producer and backstage goddess Kathy Benharris and artist Andreza Moon, who specializes in creating living canvasses, will be on-site for a free-form fashion show with drop-dead sexy gorgeous beautiful models. You won't be left out. Get ready to be painted! And, of course, back by popular demand, we'll be dancing to the DJ stylings of Provincetown's famous DJ Maryalice from Boatslip Resort's legendary Tea Dance. Get ready...Bourbon Street meets Maine mountain peaks!
