Activity Guide
At Sunday River you'll find plenty of activities and recreational options in addition to skiing and snowboarding. Below is a list of popular activities and information on venues and outfitters. You can find additional information on the Bethel Chamber's web site.
Snow Tubing
The on-mountain White Cap Fun Center offers two lighted, lift-serviced tubing runs. For complete information, visit our White Cap Fun Center page.
Ice Skating
You'll find an ice skating rink at the White Cap Fun Center open days and evenings, with skate rentals available. Bethel also has a rink on the town common located at the top of Main Street.
Fireworks
Fireworks displays are scheduled throughout the season at White Cap Base Lodge. Best viewing is at White Cap or the Grand Summit Resort Hotel.
Dog Sledding
Dogsledding available in the western mountains of Maine. Day trips starting at 9 a.m. and ending around 4 p.m. Cost is $250 per person including a hot lunch midday. Overnight trips starting at $525 per person including all the food and gear. Contact Mahoosuc Guide Service at www.mahoosuc.com.
Cross-Country Skiing
The Sunday River Inn & Cross-Country Center offers 40k of groomed trails and is located in Sunday River road just before the resort. For more information, call 207-824-2410.
Snowmobiling
Snowmobile rentals and guided tours are available right on Sunday River Road through Sun Valley Sports. For more information call 877-851-7533.
Snowshoeing
The local area is full of great places for shoeshoeing, ranging from hiking trails to open fields to your own backyard. The Sunday River Inn & Cross-Country Center offers snowshoe rentals and has 12k of marked snowshoe trails. For more information, call 207-824-2410.
Black Diamond Entertainment Series
The Black Diamond Entertainment Series features artists and and performers presenting comedy shows, magic, music and more. Tickets are available at the Grand Summit Resort Hotel, the South Ridge Welcome Concourse and the Snow Cap Inn. Interdenominational Worship Service
On-mountain interdenominational worship service held every Sunday during ski season. 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Rev. Don Coverdale and music with Cynthia Clark. Special services every month. Indoor Recreation
The BIG Adventure Center in Bethel offers laser tag, a climbing wall, an arcade and mini-bowling.
Movies
