Fourth of July Celebration
7/4/09

Celebrate the fourth with the Bethel community. This free event starts at noon on the side lawn of the Dr. Moses Mason House (14 Broad St.) with a picnic. Bring your lunch,  and after the presentation of colors and the National Anthem, enjoy a two-hour concert by the Portland Brass Quintet.

In case of rain, the concert and picnic will be held in the Middle Intervale Meetinghouse (1816) on Intervale Road, approximately four miles down river from Bethel Hill village.

20th Annual Bethel Art Fair
7/4/09
Come help celebrate 20 years of art on the village common. From 9am-4pm The Bethel Art Fair will feature Maine artists and artisans displaying paintings, photography, sculptures, jewelry, pottery and more.
New England Forest Rally
7/17/09 - 7/18/09

The fastest cars on dirt converge at Sunday River for two days of off road racing. The 19th running of the New England Forest Rally represents round six of the Rally America National Championship Series. The event draws competitors from across the globe to race on the regions logging roads from Berlin, NH to Mexico, Maine.  Lodging packages perfect for spectating start at $77 per room based on double occupancy.

Mollyockett Day

A community event including the Mollyockett Day Classic Road Race, parade, frog jumping contest, crowning of "Princess" Mollyockett, community band concert, ARTirondack chair auction & raffle, great duck race, craft show, plenty of food & games, evening concert, fireworks, and much more.
Maine State Triathlon Classic
8/1/09 - 8/2/09
Saturday features the first annual kid's triathlon, and Sunday is the Maine State Triathlon on one of the most beautiful courses in New England with a 1k swim on Songo Pond, 25k road bike and 5k Cross Country trail run.
Sudbury Canada Days
8/7/09 - 8/9/09
A celebration of the region's history presented by the Bethel Historical Society featuring lectures, an old-time arts and crafts show, historical films, architectural tours, a log drivers' bean supper and more.
3rd Annual Corvette Festival

Are you a Corvette owner? Then you can't miss this extraordinary event. Come and enjoy all the Corvettes that will be in town. This event benefits "Corvettes Conquer Cancer".

Many Corvette clubs will be in town!

12th Annual Harvest Fest & Chowdah Cook-Off

Harvest Fest is a great family event.  Don’t miss out on this old-fashioned fun fall festival that includes: "chowdah" cook-off,  arts & crafts fair, apple pie contest, demonstrations, hiking, biking, canoeing, chain saw carving, apple picking, farmers' market, plenty of food, guided & self-guided bike tours, and more. Come and enjoy a fun festival with lots of exciting fall events.

26th Annual Blue Mountain Arts and Crafts Fair
10/10/09 - 10/11/09
Regional artists and artisans exhibit painting, fine jewelry, pottery, woodworking, photography, and more.  All exhibitors will be located throughout the cafeteria at the South Ridge Base Lodge.
Wife Carrying Championship
10/10/09

The 10th annual North American Wife Carrying Championship takes place Saturday, October 10, 2009. Last year's event drew over 2,000 spectators to watch teams compete for the wife's weight in Bud Light beer plus cash. Starts 11 a.m. 

Fall Festival Weekend
10/10/09 - 10/11/09

The un-official kick-off to winter, Fall Festival, comes to Sunday River October 10 and 11th. Come celebrate the end of summer with live music, a wine tasting, the always entertaining North American Wife Carrying Championship and a full array of activities for the whole family. Spend the weekend with spectacular foliage great deals, good company and more. This year’s Fall Festival promises to be a hit.
