The Crystal Cave at Mt. Mann Jewelers ~ Main Street in Bethel, Maine

A great place to learn and recognize the minerals that Western Maine is known for. The cave is seeded with quality pieces, and an identification board that helps you learn about the "treasures" you have found. This is a great chance for the kids to go "mining" without braving the elements.

Sunday River Alpacas ~ West Bethel, Maine

There is another way to visit the trails this winter. Sunday River Alpacas is home to a growing herd of alpacas, many of whom take their names from your favorite ski trails at Sunday River - White Heat, Sunday Punch and Risky Business, just to name a few.  Mo Libby, "The Alpaca Lady" will introduce you to all of the alpaca family. Plus, be sure to check out their farm store that features alpaca fiber, roving and yarn in several natural colors, as well as locally designed hand knit 100% alpaca items from their very own alpaca fiber. www.sundayriveralpacas.com
