Snowshoeing Snowshoeing routes are plentiful in the Bethel area. Whether it's through local cross-country trails, or the well maintained snowmobile trail system, you will experience a variety of terrain. It's another way to get out and enjoy the Maine winter. The Sunday River Outdoor Center offers more challenging trails for the snowshoe enthusiast. Snow Tubing Sunday River offers lighted, lift-serviced tubing runs. Located on Sundance Trail, accessed by the Magic Carpet. South Ridge's Tubing Park is easily accessible by our complimentary on-mountain trolley, as well as Bethel's free Mountain Explorer Shuttle. Details »

Ice Skating Lace up the skates and hit the ice on our lighted rink with family, friends or on your own! It's is free for use and open every day and evening depending on weather conditions. Rentals are available at White Cap Lodge. Details »

Black Diamond Family Entertainment The Black Diamond Family Entertainment series features artists and performers presenting comedy shows, magic, music and more. Tickets are available at the Grand Summit Resort Hotel, Jordan Grand Resort Hotel, the South Ridge Welcome Concourse and the Snow Cap Inn. Details »

Fireworks Who does not enjoy an exciting display of fireworks? Don't miss the fireworks displays that are scheduled throughout the season. A hint, best viewing is South Ridge Lodge slopeside. All displays are put on by RS Fireworks.  Details »

Snowmobiling A snowmobiler's paradise awaits with hundreds of miles of beautiful, groomed trails. Spectacular views and breathtaking landscapes can be found in Grafton Notch State Park, the White Mountain National Forest and beyond. Guided trips, equipment sales or rentals are available through local operators.  Details »

Cultural Attractions If your family wants a change of pace from outdoor recreation, there is plenty of indoor fun in the Bethel region and beyond. Theater groups, farms and numerous museums in the Portland area also offer plenty of cultural options. Details »

Movies The Casablanca Movie Theater is located in Bethel and offers four theaters showing the latest releases.  Flagship Cinema in Oxford offers a variety of eight movies you can choose from. Going to the movies is always a great option for the evening! Details »

Worship Service On-mountain interdenominational worship service is held every Sunday during the ski season between 10am-11am at the White Cap Lodge. Services are conducted by Reverand Don Coverdale, and music by Cynthia Clark. Services of peace, prayer and praise are held. Please call 207-824-5896 for more information.
