Kids Seasonal Programs
Mini Runners & River Runners
Our Kids Seasonal Programs are for kids ages 3 to 12 who are able to ski or ride independently. Mini Runners are ages 3 to 5 and meet for morning sessions only. (We do accept children into the Mini Runners program who are unable to ski independently). River Runners are ages 5 to 12 and meet for morning and afternoon sessions.
Kids are grouped by age as well as ability, and will remain with the same group and coaching staff throughout the season. These are recreational, non-competitive programs with an emphasis on fun, safety and friendship. All programs are based on building self-confidence and developing all-around skiing and riding skills. Many of our graduates go on to be top performers in one of the Gould Academy Competition Programs (GACP).
With these programs, the fun doesn't stop when the lifts close. Throughout the season a number of special events are planned. From Christmas parties to scavenger hunts to pizza nights, these kids have a fun filled schedule. It's what being a kid and loving winter is all about.
All programs meet in the River House, located slopeside adjacent to the South Ridge Base Lodge, and run 9am to 2pm on Saturdays and holiday weeks and 9am to 12am on Sundays. Program runs from Mid December, 2010 to end of March, 2011. Lunch is included for River Runners only. A detailed program schedule will be provided prior to the start of the season.

This is a program designed for advanced skiers and riders age 13 to 16 who want to improve their personal skiing, interact with other teens, and learn the skills and techniques of coaching others. Members of the program will learn the skills needed to apply for a position within our Perfect Turn coaching staff when they reach the age of 16, and will have opportunities to work with other coaches within our Children's Programs in a hands-on manner. A Perfect Turn coach who knows skiing, coaching and how to have fun will lead the program.
The program runs from the Children's Center at South Ridge from 9am to 11am and 12pm to 2pm on Saturdays and holiday weeks and 9am to 12pm on Sundays. Program runs from Mid December, 2010 to end of March, 2011. A detailed schedule will be provided prior to the start of the season.

The Gould Academy Competition Program strives to teach young athletes ages 8 and up the skills to improve and the motivation to fuel their desire to become the best. This program is designed for skiers and riders who have the ability to ski the mountain and the desire to compete and learn from some of the best coaches in the country. The Gould Academy Competition Program provides small coach to athlete ratios in all three disciplines Alpine, Freestyle and Snowboarding.
