This summer Sunday River is breaking ground on a new terrain park trail that will be located on North Peak between Dream Maker and 3D complete with top-to-bottom snowmaking. This yet-to-be-named trail will for the first time give Sunday River a full-length park with the added benefits of having space for a superpipe as well as access to a high-speed lift for quick laps through the park.  The resort brought in Snow Park Technologies to help identify the location, which offers a combination of the right pitch, a straight fall line, sufficient width and length, and easy access to/from a high-speed lift.  We'll be getting input on the park design from Simon Dumont, who will be moving his signature Dumont Cup event to the new trail next spring.
