Union Square Street Sessions

The Union Square Street Sessions took place Thursday, Feb 7 in downtown Manhattan with 30 of the best riders in the biz including Lucas Magoon, Scotty Lago and Sunday River rider Andrew Kahkonen. 07 Union Square Street Sessions Qualifier @ Sunday River

On 12/22 Sunday River held the only New England qualifier for the Union Square Street Sessions in NYC. In one of the biggest eastern snowboard events of the winter, 30 riders competed in a daytime event for 8 open spots in the nighttime qualifier to compete against 8 invited riders.

Sunday River snowboarder Andrew Kahkonen of Oxford, Maine topped the field in head to head duels to take the top spot and qualify for NYC.

Thanks to Jeep, Red Bull, Oakley, Snowboarder Magazine and the Sunday River park and event crew for putting on what is likely the sickest snowboard event in the history of Maine.
