Day Care
Sunday River offers on-site day care for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years at three on-mountain locations. Full- and half-day day care is available. We are a fully licensed child care facility through the State of Maine Department of Human Services. Reservations are required in advance as space is limited (call 207-824-5083). Occasionally, walk-ins will be welcomed, if space is available.
For those interested in skiing, our Tiny Turns and Mogul Munchkin program are available for children ages 3 and older through the South Ridge location.

Tiny Turns
Tiny Turns is Day Care plus a one-hour private clinc for three-year-olds. Children must be registered in South Ridge Day Care for at least a half-day to participate. A Perfect Kids coach will meet your child at day care and assist with rental equipment and bring them onto the slopes. Day Care, lift ticket, coaching and rental equipment are included in price. Reservations are required, and release forms must be signed in advance. Please call 207-824-5083.
Day Care / Mogul Munchkin Combo
Day Care / Mogul Munchkin Combo is available for those children who have had a skiing experience before, and are ready for a group lesson, but still want day care included in their day. For this program, parents MUST reserve through Day Care ONLY. Please bring your child no later than 9:30 am or he/she will miss the lesson. Please call Day Care at 207-824-5083 to make your reservations.

Check In Procedure
Upon arrival, you will be asked to fill out a medical form for your child with emergency contact info, etc. You can also fill out your child?s rental form for his/her lesson that day. You will be given a Kid Check tag with a designated number assigned to your child only. You MUST present this tag when you pick your child up at the end of the day or we cannot release your child.
What to Bring
Please be sure to label the following items, as we are not responsible for lost or stolen articles.
- Extra change of clothes
- Warm outdoor clothing
- Daily supply of diapers & wipes
- Infant food and pre-mixed formula
- Comfort items if needed (blanket, pacifier, etc.)
- Any emergency medical items regarding allergies (Epi-pen, etc)
