16th Annual North American Wife Carrying Championship®
11AM on Saturday, October 10
The North American Wife Carrying Championship® continues to draw thousands of spectators to the slopes of Sunday River to watch 50 teams of two compete in this Finnish-style race for the grand prize of the wife's weight in beer, plus five times her weight in cash. A fun event for the whole family.
Kids' Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest
3PM on Saturday, October 10
Fall Festival is all about welcoming in the new season. What better way than with Pumpkin Pie? There is already plenty planned for Mom and Dad, which is why this timed pie eating contest is for kids only! 10 contestants will line up on stage to see who can eat their pumpkin pie the fastest - without hands or silverware. We call this a contest, but honestly, when pie is involved, nobody loses. Kids may sign up at the event on Saturday afternoon. Entry is free.
2nd Annual New England Corn Hole Championship
10AM on Sunday, October 11
Grab a partner and start practicing now because $600 is up for grabs on Sunday, along with the title of New England Corn Hole Champion. Live music, BBQs, and a beer tent will accompany the action. Learn more.
32nd Annual Blue Mountain Arts and Craft Fair
Saturday, October 10 (9AM to 5PM) and Sunday, October 11 (9AM to 3PM)
Regional artists and artisans exhibit paintings, fine jewelry, pottery, woodworking, photography, and more! Over 40 exhibitors will be located throughout the South Ridge Lodge. Vendor sign-up for the craft fair will open on Monday, August 3. Learn more.

If you're looking to sample some of the best wines paired with delicate offerings, then head to the Wine Tent on the patio of South Ridge. One cost will get you an etched Sunday River logoed wine glass, samples, and amazing appetizers, such as lobster artichoke dip, duck liver pate, a crudité display, and more.
'Sunday Bloody Sunday' Tent
One tent on Sunday will be dedicated to everything Bloody Mary. We provide the vodka and tomato juice, you choose from over 25 fixings such as a variety of seasonings, assorted olives, oysters-in-the-half-shell, shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon, bacon, assorted olives and much more.
Scenic Chairlift Rides
Friday - Sunday, 10AM - 4PM
Ride the Chondola to the Peak Lodge for the best view of fall in the Mahoosuc Mountains. 2015/16 Season Pass holders ride for free (as always). For others, it's only $15 per adult, $10 for kids ages 6-12, and free for kids 5 and under.
Mountaintop Christian Worship Service
Attend a Christian Worship Service at the Peak Lodge, presented by Reverend Don Coverdale. Boarding the Chondola begins at 9:30AM.
Sunday River Sports Pre-Season Sale

Find great buys on demo equipment, apparel, and this season's newest gear. Located at the Discovery Center in South Ridge Lodge.
Kids Games and Pony Rides
Saturday & Sunday, 10AM - 4PM
Back by popular demand, the Lewiston High School Swim Team has created these carnival-like games that kids flock to year after year, like the duck and fish ponds, Plinko, spin the wheel, and dime toss. Add pony rides, face painting, and a bounce house, and you've got a winning formula for happy kids!
Free Wagon Rides
Saturday & Sunday, 10AM - 4 PM
Come meet Belgian draft horses Ben and Bill and nestle in for a free wagon ride around scenic Sunday River. Butch and Becky from Meadow Creek Farm have been coming to Sunday River for years offering this unique experience to all ages.
