Celebrate the end of summer with live music, the always entertaining 16th Annual North American Wife Carrying Championship®, the 32nd Annual Blue Mountain Arts & Crafts Fair, and a full array of activities for the whole family.

Wife Carrying16th Annual North American Wife Carrying Championship®
11AM on Saturday

The North American Wife Carrying Championship® continues to draw thousands of spectators to the slopes of Sunday River to watch 50 teams of two compete in this Finnish-style race for the grand prize of the wife's weight in beer, plus five times her weight in cash. A fun event for the whole family. Feel you've got what it takes or just looking for something fun to do? Registration is still open. For you non-planners, you can sign up on the day of the competition too!

Registration runs from 8:30AM to 10:30AM in the Welcome Center at South Ridge Lodge. Course inspection is allowed from 9:30AM to 10:30AM, with the first heat taking off at 11AM. Finals take place at 12:30PM. 

Kids' Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest
3PM on Saturday

Fall Festival is all about welcoming in the new season.  What better way than with Pumpkin Pie? There is already plenty planned for Mom and Dad, which is why this timed pie eating contest is for kids only (ages 14 and under)! 10 contestants will line up on stage to see who can eat their pumpkin pie the fastest - without hands or silverware. We call this a contest, but honestly, when pie is involved, nobody loses. Kids can sign up at the event on Saturday afternoon at the center stage. Entry is free.

2nd Annual New England Corn Hole Championship
10AM on Sunday

Grab a partner and start practicing now because $600 is up for grabs on Sunday, along with the title of New England Corn Hole Champion. Live music, BBQs, and a beer tent will accompany the action. Registration begins at 9:30AM slopeside at South Ridge. 

32nd Annual Blue Mountain Arts and Craft Fair

9AM to 5PM on Saturday and 9AM to 3PM on Sunday

Regional artists and artisans exhibit paintings, fine jewelry, pottery, woodworking, photography, and more! Over 40 exhibitors will be located throughout the South Ridge Lodge. Vendor sign-up for the craft fair will open on Monday, August 3. Learn more

 If you're looking to sample some of the best wines paired with delicate offerings, then head to the Wine Tent on the patio of South Ridge. One cost will get you an etched Sunday River logoed wine glass, samples, and amazing appetizers such as lobster artichoke dip, duck liver pate, a crudite display, and more. 

'Sunday Bloody Sunday' Tent
10AM to 2PM on Sunday

 One tent on Sunday will be dedicated to everything Bloody Mary. We provide the vodka and tomato juice, you choose from over 25 fixings such as a variety of seasonings, assorted olives, oysters-in-the-half-shell, shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon, bacon, assorted olives and much more. 

Scenic Lift RideScenic Chairlift Rides
10AM to 4PM on Friday - Sunday

Ride the Chondola to the Peak Lodge for the best view of fall in the Mahoosuc Mountains.  2015/16 Season Pass holders ride for free (as always). For others, it's only $15 per adult, $10 for kids ages 6-12, and free for kids 5 and under.

9AM to 5PM Saturday and Sunday
Find great buys on demo equipment, apparel, and this season's newest gear. Located at the Discovery Center in South Ridge Lodge.


Jordan Spa & Summit Health Club
10AM to 2PM Saturday
Stop by the Spa's table slopeside at South Ridge for $10 chair massages and free MoroccanOil hand treatments. Plus, visit the Jordan Spa during Fall Festival weekend to receive discounts on products and to take advantage of one of thier fall specials. 

Mountaintop Christian Worship Service
10AM on Sunday 

Attend a Christian Worship Service at the Peak Lodge, presented by Reverend Don Coverdale. Boarding the Chondola begins at 9:30AM.

 Kids Games and Pony Rides
10AM to 4PM on Saturday and Sunday

Back by popular demand, the Lewiston High School Swim Team has created these carnival-like games that kids flock to year after year, like the duck and fish ponds, Plinko, spin the wheel, and dime toss. Add pony rides, face painting, and a bounce house, and you've got a winning formula for happy kids!

Meadow Creek FarmsFree Wagon Rides
10AM to 4PM on Saturday and Sunday

Come meet Belgian draft horses Ben and Bill and nestle in for a free wagon ride around scenic Sunday River. Butch and Becky from Meadow Creek Farm have been coming to Sunday River for years offering this unique experience to all ages.

TGR Mountain Bike Movie Premier
7:30PM on Saturday
Catch a premier of Teton Gravity Research's new mountain bike film, unReal.  Doors at 7PM, show at 7:30PM, at Gould Academy in Bingham Hall. $7.50 tickets.
