2-4PM The Island Castaways Band
In 2008, The Island Castaways formed as a Jimmy Buffett tribute group. Since then, they have evolved into one of New England's most popular Trop Rock bands. You can expect their live shows to feature a mix of originals and classics, with a little tropical feeling thrown in the mix. Tired of the cold and ready for the summertime sun? Join The Island Castaways and get excited for the warmer days to come. http://www.islandcastawaysband.com/the-band
4-6PM Ramajay InterCoastal
A collaboration between Quincy Yeates and Tall Paul, along with a rhythm section that brings unbelievable talent, this Island/Rock approach to music is one you won't want to miss! Paul and Quincy worked together to develop a musical and personal friendship, and established Ramajay InterCoastal. If you're ready for some infectious grooves, catchy melodies, and intriguing lyrics, be sure to check them out at Parrothead Festival! http://www.ramajayintercoastal.com/about.php
1-3PM BaHa Brothers Band
The BaHa Brothers band was born in 1992, when friends and band mates Jay Gonsalves, Bill Strojny, and Matt Wasylow decided that there was a need for a beach party, "happy hour" type band in the Cape Cod and Boston areas. The BaHa Brothers hail from Taunton, MA. http://personal.tmlp.com/baha95/
On Saturday afternoon, local restaurants come together to compete in the highly-anticipated Mararita Mix-Off. You can purchase tickets ($1 = test drink) before entering the Mix-Off area and we highly recommend getting in line early (we always run out of samples). After sampling, be sure to fill out your ballot for the People's Choice award. 100% of the ticket sales goes to charity. Judge's results and the People's Choice award will be announced immediately after the event on the main stage.
Spam Carving Contest
This is a serious sport. We have people who practice, repeat winners, young and elder competing in this annual event. Contestants have a set ammount of time to sculpt their multiple cans of spam into a fine piece of art. The winner, chosen by the applauding crowd, takes home all the glory. Spam carving takes place on Saturday afternoon in front of the main stage. Registration ends 30 minutes prior to the event.
Key Lime Pie Eating Contest
On Sunday, the sweet-toothed (or the hungover) endulge in the favorite dessert of Parrothead, locally-made key lime pies from Valley View Orchard. Cheer them on as they battle their way to victory in front of the main stage.
