Free Transportation
Sunday River is served by two transportation systems, the on-mountain Resort Shuttle, and the regional Mountain Explorer. Both are free services and link the mountain with lodging properties, activities, dining, shopping, entertainment and more and the operate only during the winter season.
Mountain ExplorerThe Mountain Explorer operates days and evenings between Bethel and Sunday River only during the winter season, with convenient stops at major lodging establishments, retailers and restaurants at the resort, along the access road, and around town. The route is designed to benefit residents as well as visitors. The Mountain Explorer is a collaborative effort of the local business community, the Maine Department of Transportation and the Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce. |
Sunday River Shuttle
The resort also operates a shuttle service between the South Ridge area and the Jordan Grand Resort Hotel. Transfer between the Mountain Explorer and the Jordan Shuttle at South Ridge Base Lodge (days) or the White Cap Base Lodge (evenings). |
Shuttle buses and resort shuttles provide continuous service linking hotels and condominiums on the mountain with Sunday River's ski lifts, base lodges, restaurants and entertainment during the winter season. Transfer between the Mountain Explorer and the Sunday River Trolley at the South Ridge Base Lodge (days) or the White Cap Base Lodge (evenings).
