Deepwood Farm has been in operation since 1990. We offer a variety of services to the visitors in our area who are looking for a pleasant 1-hour trail ride in the beauty of the mountains. Our horses are sturdy and quiet, a pleasure to ride. We offer for singles and couples that have solid riding experience or have owned their own horse, 1 or 2 hour rides which includes trot and canter in the foothills of the White Mountains, over streams and through a working apple orchard. Come explore the foothills of Western Maine with New England Horseback Riding and Carriage Driving at The Telemark Inn Wilderness Lodge, located within the White Mountain National Forest near Bethel, Maine. We've combined our facilities to offer a variety of unique and educational horseback riding and sled dog programs for adults, families, children, and school groups. In addition to our 15 beautiful horses, we also have 65 well-trained and affectionate sled dogs, a new litter of puppies and a small herd of friendly llamas which are all a part of the experience. 207-836-2703 |
Ellis River Riders Horse Shows

The Ellis River Riders Club offers a variety of activities for horse lovers of all ages, including shows with Gymkhana Game events and both English and Western Shows. Members and their horses can enjoy day trail rides and a few annual overnight adventures. Non-member guests are always welcome. All are invited to come and watch the club’s shows and events. At Sparrow Hawk Mountain Ranch our program is to teach riders to become proficient in horse handling and riding skills. We have well trained, safe, responsive and very talented horses. Our instruction is applicable to all styles of riding. We offer one-hour guided rides on our scenic trails Spring through Fall for beginners to advanced riders.
