Down-Mountain and Cross Country. 140 Years of Skiing in Maine

The bethel Historical Society would like to invite you to this exciting lecture as Scott Andrews, writer and researcher with the Ski Museum of Maine discusses the history of Maine skiing from its beginnings with Swedish immigrants in the 1870's to the present day. Learn about the triumph's and failures that have lead Maine to today's large-scale resorts. Located at the Mason House Exhibit Hall, Broad Street Bethel, 7:30pm. Free Admission.to learn more vist the Bethel Historical site.

Watch teams of five firefighters skiing in full turnout gear and carrying a hose as they compete to raise money for Maine Handicapped Skiing. Then, sample chili from the best cooks in the state as they vie for the prize of Best Chili Cook. Try all the samples and vote for People's Choice.
