The bethel Historical Society would like to invite you to this exciting lecture as Scott Andrews, writer and researcher with the Ski Museum of Maine discusses the history of Maine skiing from its beginnings with Swedish immigrants in the 1870's to the present day. Learn about the triumph's and failures that have lead Maine to today's large-scale resorts. Located at the Mason House Exhibit Hall, Broad Street Bethel, 7:30pm. Steezin TV, a snowboard/comedy show, wants to invite you to the Foggy Goggle for the first Apre party of the season. The party kicks off at 7:45pm with the premier of the hottest new show to hit RSN. Plus enjoy Red Bull drink specials, lots of giveaways and live entertainment from Surf Below Zero beginning immidiately after the fireworks show at 8:30pm. An early season rail jam with early season elements. The TBD is back for its 3rd year, full of prizes and more surprises. Registration is from 8:30am-10:30am at Sunday Sessions in South Ridge Lodge. Rail event is open to both Skiers and Riders and is $10. Cash Only.

 

Event will take place at 11:30am.  Prizes awarded at the STEEZIN Party Premier, locaated in the Foggy Goggle, South Ridge. 7:45pm.

The Maine Telemark Festival is back again! Headquarters will be at White Cap Base Lodge. Demos, lessons, costume contest, mogul championship, prizes, raffles, and topped off with a party. Come check it out!

Sunday River will be hosting the 2009 Snowboarding Cup. Watch as the top Snowboardcross and parallel giant salom compete for the title to be number 1.

Join Maine Handicapped Skiing as they raise funds to support their free programs for adaptive skiers and riders. Participate in a fun race, obstacle course and other great activities. To learn more about MHS, visit www.skimhs.org.

Watch teams of five firefighters skiing in full turnout gear and carrying a hose as they compete to raise money for Maine Handicapped Skiing. Then,  sample chili from the best cooks in the state as they vie for the prize of Best Chili Cook. Try all the samples and vote for People's Choice.

Activities take place at White Cap Lodge. Come and enjoy a full day of good food, fun and live entertainment.

End the season with the second and final No Bib Jib! Teams will compete to win sweet prizes! Stay tuned for more details.

This annual festival is a weekend in paradise! All weekend celebrate with Jimmy Buffet cover bands, contests, prizes, parties, and more! Sunday, Pond Skimming kicks off the day, followed by our famous Key-lime pie eating contest. Help the Parrot Head Club of Maine spend a fantastic weekend, with skiing, parties, sun and more! All proceeds go to Make a Wish Foundation.
