1/3 - The Empire Rail

Be on the lookout for the new Empire rail we deisgned with Simon.  It's big flat-down running 14 feet then 24 feet, all at a height of 5 feet off the deck and built with a large 4 inch diameter rail.  It should stand out on the hill in black with Empire logos on the sides.  Should be up soon and Simon's looking forward to hitting it the next time he's in town.

12/28 - Jumping Jeeps in Rocking Chair

When we heard Jeep wanted footage of one of their vehicles begin jumped for a commercial, we were happy to help.  After towing the Jeep up and parking it under the first jump in Rocking Chair, the fun started.  Stay tuned for footage later and keep your eyes peeled for the commercial on tv.

12/28 - Red Bull Snowscrapers

Our friends at Red Bull know how to throw a party.  When they decided to host a snowboard big air comp they invited 16 riders including Shaun White and Travis Rice, put down for $100k in prize money, invited Anthrax to play a live show, and are holding it in New York City.  To say this will be the sickest event of the year  is an understatement.  Check out www.redbullsnowscrapers.com for more.

12/16 - New Webisode from Simon

Check out what Simon's been up to so far this season.

12/12 - Here is the long awaited update.

As of today we've completed 15 brand new rails and boxes and the crew has pulled out all the old stuff and with some cutting and welding turned them into freshies.  Today we can proudly say we have 50 elements for you!  We also just completed a new entrance gate for the jib park.

We have had some good and some challenging weather.  Rocking Chair is slated to run next week to finish the left side.  This should give us a nice Christmas park and with some love from the weather gods the start of the stunt ditch.

Thanks to everyone who came out to the first contest of the year. Get your teams ready for the NBJ… This year we have a bunch of sweet prizes and a new format.  Music and Oakley will be here for some festivities.  Registration is day of so get it together and get up here.

On a side note Park Ranger Austin Ouellette has suffered a potentially season ending knee injury.  He is getting a MRI Monday and we wish him the best of luck.  He will be around all year designing and helping everywhere he can.  If you know him or see him dump your soda on the ground and give some love to our homie.

9/15 - September Update

Welcome back!

It is the time a year when we start working on park features.  We're collecting all last year's rails and boxes to clean 'em up and make them look like new again and building a bunch of new features.  The South Ridge park will have a new look this winter -- new features, wider at the top, more sun thanks to tree clearing for the chondola, and most importantly the park will be lighted to give you 12 hours of fun.  Stay tuned for updates about new jib production and the event schedule.

Also, we'll be down in Portland Oct 18-19 at Sunny Breeze to set up another rail jam.  This year a custom early season feature will be unveiled... Check it out!

4/28 - Harvesting the Heat

4/13 - Simon did it - with a freaking 900!

On Friday, April 11 Simon Dumont broke the world QP record at Sunday River with a corked 900 tail that towered 35 feet above the deck of the world's largest QP. It was built by SPT and the SR Parks Crew. Check out more in the new MSP flick.

3/14 - Local shred

Got out on the hill with SR skier Shea Flynn. He's been out shredding the competition circuit in the east and out in Colorado. Now he's back in town and getting ready for the NAO over in VT in a few weeks. He's got the booters in Rocking Chair dialed pretty well. The landings are getting nice and soft as the sun gets higher so come out and hit it.

1/28 - Red Bull One Hit Wonder

It was a circus scene in the park on Saturday for the One Hit. The event went off without any major glichtes but the fun part was all the kids and coaches from other mountains (to remain nameless) who were pumped on the SR park setup. Here's a couple pics. Big ups to the entire Park Crew for putting out the goods.

12/23 - Some Snaps from the USSSQ

http://www.sundayriver.com/community/index.php?showtopic=8714 and http://cappi.smugmug.com/ have some pics and shtuff. Nick, Greg, Gravy Train, Rambo, Austin and Cassidy all need to catch up on their sleep after opening Rocking Chair and building the sickest event venue in the history of Maine in the same week. Congrats to Cassidy for qualifying for the night session and massive props to SR rider and recently added park ranger Andrew Kahkonen for winning the damn thing and earning big bucks and spot in the NYC event. The Red Bull rail is going into Rocking Chair next week. Dare ya.
