Culinary Apprenticeship

In partnership with Sunday River, Central Maine Community College, and Southern Maine Community College, earn your American Culinary Federation accredited Associate's Degree in Applied Science in Culinary Arts without paying tuition, and while earning a paycheck and professional experience at beautiful Sunday River.

Fall 2019 · CMCC

  • ENG 101 College Writing OR ENG 105 College Writing Seminar for 3-4 credits
  • Choose one: MAT 100-level* or above (depends on placement) for 3 credits
  • Choose one: CUA 210, CUA 212, CUA 214, CUA 250, or CUA 256 for 2-4 credits 

Spring 2020 · CMCC

  • PSY 120 Psychology in the Workplace for 3 credits 
  • Choose one: CUA 210, CUA 212, CUA 214, CUA 250, or CUA 256 for 2-4 credits

Summer 2020 · CMCC

  • COM 100 Public Speaking OR COM 101 Interpersonal Communication for 3 credits
  • PLA - CUA - OJT (transcripted as CUA 299) for 20 credits

Courses to graduate with an AAS from Southern Maine Community College in May 2021

Fall 2020 · SMCC 

  • ENG 115 Introduction to Literature for 3 credits

Live at Sunday River

Immerse yourself in beautiful Newry and Bethel living right at Sunday River. Commute to CMCC and then SMCC while completing your apprenticeship and academic degree. 

Live Off-Campus

Some people completing the apprenticeship and their academic degree choose to live off-campus.
