Spring Après Concert Series

« All Events

Free slopeside concerts with longstanding and up-and-coming artists from close to home.

March 18, 2017 - April 8, 2017

What's better than a day of spring skiing? Following it up with free live music during après-ski, of course. This year's Spring Après Concert Series is all about homegrown jams, bringing both up-and-coming musicians and tried-and-true acts from the great states of Maine and New Hampshire to our slopeside stage at South Ridge.

The beats will be bumping from 2-6PM on March 18 and 25, and April 8. During the show, enjoy lawn games and activities for the whole family, plenty of food, plus delicious adult beverages at our outdoor bar or on the Foggy Goggle deck.  Want to feel the rhythm with a hula hoop? CosmoSis Hoops will be back again this year with hoops to try and buy on March 25 and April 8. Spring Apres Concert

Saturday, March 18: Homegrown Rock

The first show of our Spring Apres Concert Series is as rock-and-roll as they come. Starting us off from 2-4PM will be Bethel's own Graffiti, who turn the stage into a time machine with their classic rock sound. They'll be followed by Gunther Brown of Portland, ME from 4-6PM, a five-piece Americana rock band influenced by Blue Rodeo, Wilco, My Morning Jacket, R.E.M., and more, with a sound you won't want to miss.

Saturday, March 25: Homegrown Reggae

Before the show starts, be sure to hit up the Amalgam Ski Demo from 8AM-2PM, located on-snow by the Sunrise Condominiums at South Ridge.

The second show takes a trip to the islands with two Maine-based reggae bands. First up is Zeme Libre of Portland, ME, from 2-4PM, who boast a high-energy blend of Afrobeat, reggae, ska, and funk in their set list. They've even toured with such acts as Michael Franti and Spearhead, Wyclef Jean, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, the Wailers, and more.  Then catch Blue Kwantsu of Waterford, ME, from 4-6PM. Named for the movie Surf Ninjas, this four-piece band headed by two brothers provides a show with an upbeat rock and reggae sound.

Saturday, April 8: Homegrown Funk

The third and final show of the Spring Après Concert Series is taking a turn for the funky. From 2-3PM, enjoy Hambone, an energetic seven-piece soul jam band from Hallowell, ME, with roots in blues, rock, funk, and hip-hop. Harsh Armadillo of Portsmouth, NH, will close out the festivities from 3-6PM. This nine-piece steamroller promises to move your feet for you with their combination of funk and hip-hop.
