Mountain Bike School
Everyone knows how to ride a bike, but if you're new to downhill riding we recommend taking an initial lesson to learn some of the skills and techniques that will help you enjoy your runs in the park. The Mountain Bike School offers downhill mountain biking lessons during Bike Park days of operation at 10AM and 1PM for ages 10+ (please note guest must also be 5ft tall). Lessons are 90 minutes and include a bike and helmet rental plus instruction from a PMBIA-Certified coach. Lessons can be booked in person or by phone and are not available July 6-7, July 28, and October 7 due to resort events.
Mountain Bike Rentals
If you want to give lift-serviced riding a shot or your bike may not be suited for downhill riding, we offer a fleet of adult and junior downhill mountain bikes from Specialized. Rentals are found in Sunday River Sports inside South Ridge Lodge. Due to limited availability, rentals are first come first serve.
- Only bikes with front and rear brakes are permitted to load the lift
- Full-suspension bikes are recommended for the majority of the bike park terrain
