Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreation
Sunday River is the founding sponsor and home of Maine Adaptive Sports & Recreations, an organization dedicated to promoting education and training for individuals with disabilities in order to develop skills, enhance independence and provide enjoyment through active recreation.
Gould Academy
Sunday River is a proud partner of Gould Academy, a private boarding school located right here in Bethel. Over 80% of Gould's 250 students participate in one of several on-snow programs, ranging from competitive ski racing to ski patrol to teaching local kids. The Gould Academy Competition Program is run jointly with the Sunday River to provide coaching to athletes ages 8-18.

Sunday River runs several programs with our local school system to encourage kids to get outside in winter and teach them to ski and snowboard for free. We also offer special season pass rates and free ski days for local kids, plus free skiing whenever school is cancelled for snow.
Winter Kids
WinterKids helps kids in Maine develop health lifelong habits through outdoor winter activates. Sunday River gives all 5th, 6th, and 7th grade kids in Maine the opportunity to learn to ski or snowboard for free.
