Zipline Guide

Are you an outdoor enthusiast? Do you love talking and interacting with people? Do you pay attention to safety and procdure and are detail oriented? Are you outgoing and upbeat? And finally, do you love the idea of flying through the air attached to a cable? If you answered yes, then there may be a job for you at Sunday River. Sunday River is looking for people who want to join our team as a Zipline Guide. This seasonal position is almost exclusively outside in all weather conditions. Your primary responsibility as a guide is to ensure the safety of all guests and riders on the ziplines, while creating a fun and adventurous experience for all. You will also be responsible for facilitating group tours in a timely manner, delivering local history and nature based curriculum while leading tours. This position requires extensive public contact, requires a positive, outgoing, enthusiastic person. You will also need to be able to lift in excess of 60 lbs and must be 18 years old to be considered for the position. Due to the over-head ziplines the minimum height requirement is 5' 8". In addition to leading tours, zipline guides are responsible for course and equipment maintenance and may assist with other summer activities duties and projects. Regular schedule of operations is Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.  There are also special events that you will work.

Sunday River is seeking qualified and motivated cooks for multiple locations and shifts.  We are in need of line cooks, breakfast cooks, banquet cooks and cafeteria cooks.  These positions are seasonal and include full-time and part-time opportunities.  Sunday River needs energetic, motivated, safety and sanitary conscious individuals that are able to multi-task and able to provide a quality product to join our Food & Beverage team. 
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to; preparation and presentation of quality food as directed by Lead Cook, compliance with all sanitation and safety guidelines, maintaining a clean working area and assisting with stocking of inventory.
Qualified candidates must have knowledge of and experience with standard kitchen equipment, the ability to work a flexible schedule, lift up to 50 lbs, be able to climb steps numerous times during the shift.  One (1) year of line kitchen experience or equivalent training is required. Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays is required.  These position includes seasonal benefits.

Banquet Server

Sunday River is accepting applications for part- time  banquet and event positions in the Food and Beverage Department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ability to set up for banquets, serve for corporate functions, weddings and other banquet functions. Preference given for T.I.P.S training.

Previous experience preferred but willing to train the right person. Must be comfortable in a group setting and have the ability to communicate effectively with guests on a daily basis. There is extensive contact with guests and other team members.  Ability to work as part of a team is a must.

Wait Staff

Sunday River is currently accepting applications for wait staff in the Food and Beverage Department.
Candidates must be professionals, outgoing and friendly individuals able to converse with guests, take accurate orders and deliver food in a timely manner to join us in serving our restaurant guests. Ability to memorize menu's at the restaurant as well as other mountain restaurants is essential.
Duties include but are not limited to push/pull/lift up to 25 lbs., cash handling, busing tables, taking orders, and delivering food to guests. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment as well as a positive attitude are assets for these positions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; completing daily building maintenance assignments and requests with applicable paperwork, Direct assistance to guest for room maintenance needs, Annual room preventative maintenance, Health Club routine maintenance, Special project assistance, grounds maintenance, snow removal and fire wood stacking as well as helping other mountain departments when needed. Qualified candidate must have two to five years of verifiable experience in one or more of the following trades: Carpentry and Drywall, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Painting, Pool and Spa Care or other specialty Technical skills. Ski Patrollers: Seeking energetic, self-motivated team players to join our Mountain Operations team! Full time seasonal positions available winter season.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to; attending to the medical needs of injured guests and staff both on and off the hill, assist other mountain operations departments with on hill needs including snowmaking, lift operations and grooming, act as a resource to guests for resort information.

Must be able to ski or snowboard all terrain in all types of conditions. Medical skills such as EMT, OEC, and or WFR need to be current, and current AHA CPR and strong skier/snowboarder. Must be able to work well alone and in teams. Snow test will be given to qualified people. A valid drivers license is required.

Seeking an outgoing, enthusiastic team player to join the Health Spa Team as a Licensed Nail Technician! 
The Nail Technician position is responsible for maintaining a comfortable, professional atmosphere while offering various specialized services that help client's look and feel their best.  They will be required to work specifically on nails and provide manicures, pedicures and polishing to clients.   The nail technician must limit the resort's liability by always acting in a professional and highly ethical manner. They will also have a very active role in building and maintaining positive relationships with the owners of the Jordan Grand Hotel and its guests.  Additional responsibilities may also include light housekeeping duties such as assisting with the cleaning of the spa area, the massage therapy rooms, the locker room areas in between use, retrieving used pool towels, replacing with fresh, etc. State of Maine licensing is required. The nail technician will also assist the Health Club Attendant and housekeeping as needed. Volunteer- Mountain Host

Sunday River is looking for Mountain Hosts Volunteers for the winter season.  First and foremost, the Mountain Host position requires strong skiing or snowboarding skills as well as the ability and willingness to adhere to all safety requirements, policies and procedures of Sunday River.  The Mountain Host responsibilities are  two distinct areas, guest service and education  and  on hill maintenance. The duties of the host are as follows, but are not limited to, maintenance functions of the resort to include, fencing, tower raising and lowering tower pads etc., providing quality guest service to all guests, educating guests on safe skiing and snowboarding and assisting patrol with crowd control, scene safety and answering guests questions.  The Mountain Host positions are volunteer positions and require a minimum day commitment to receive a season pass.
