It all began in 1947, when Everett Kircher purchased a Michigan mountainside for $1 and built Boyne Mountain Resort. That bold step ignited a legacy that continues to shape Boyne Resorts today—from Michigan to Maine. At Sunday River, we’re proud to be part of that story. Through the Boyne Forever Foundation, we carry on the commitment to our people, our landscapes, and the communities that make this mountain home.
