All proceeds from Santa Sunday benefit both The River Fund Maine, who support youth education and recreation in the Bethel area, and the Boyne Forever Foundation, which helps sustain the people and places that make Sunday River special.

How does it work?
300+ pre-registered Santas arrive at the resort in full attire, beard included. No, you're not hallucinating; this is Santa Sunday.
Participants must be wearing all of the following items: a red Santa hat with white pompom, a red Santa jacket, red Santa pants, a Santa beard.
A scheduled photoshoot will take place at 11AM, slopeside at South Ridge, dressed in your Santa attire. After the photo shoot, we will all go up South Ridge Express and then ski down Broadway, a beginner-friendly green trail.
Spectators should get to South Ridge by 11AM to get a good view of the Santas.
New This Year: This year, participants will automatically receive a buddy voucher in their MyAccount, which can be used by the individual or given to a friend to use. The voucher is valid December 15, 2025 - January 31, 2026, excluding Saturdays and vacation weeks.
