Meet Your Host
Master of Ceremonies? Maybe. Master of friggin' pointin'em? Definitely. Donny Pelletier, Maine's Finest Athlete, is back home at Sunday River as host of this year's event.
Raised on the steeps of Agony and White Heat, Donny is known for unmatched grace, elegance, and precision on skis. Or something like that.
This year will feature two divisions, Junior and Open.
Junior will be for competitors ages 8-14 who will compete in a one-run competition on Saturday for awards in the age categories listed below. Awards will be presented at the Foggy Goggle party following Saturday's competition.
The Open division will be for competitors aged 13 and above. This group will compete in a one-run competition on Saturday for a chance to make Sunday's Dual Championship, where they will compete for cash prizes for the top three men and top three women. Sunday's final will consist of a dual mogul championship, with the winner of each heat progressing to the next round.
Any athlete who is 13 or 14 years of age and chooses to compete in the Open class will not be eligible for any Junior Division awards.
Practice is scheduled to take place on White Heat on Friday, March 29, from 10AM-2PM. Practice is only for registered competitors.
