Traditional Maine Lobster Bake

Steamed lobster, clams, butter, and some other fixings for a lobster bake at Sunday River.

Join us at North Peak for a classic Maine experience! Our traditional Lobster Bake features all the fixings—fresh Maine lobster, steamers, corn on the cob, potatoes, and more—served with mountain views you can’t beat.

Seated service begins at 6:00PM, and guests are welcome to arrive anytime between 6:00 and 7:30PM. Outdoor seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with indoor seating at North Peak Lodge as an alternative. Please note that indoor seating is not air-conditioned.

The lobster bake is $39 per person, not including the scenic chairlift ride.

Scenic chairlift rides are free for 2025/26 season passholders who present their pass. All other guests must purchase a lift ticket to ride.

Requesting outdoor seating at checkout does not guarantee an outside seat. All outside seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

About the Lift Ride

Chondola

Depart from the South Ridge base area on one of the six-person open-air chairs, or in a gondola cabin, for a 7-minute ride to the top of North Peak. When you're ready, ride one of the enclosed gondola cabins back to the base lodge.


This scenic ride is kid-approved and perfect for all ages—grandparents included. Just note that all scenic lift tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and date specific.
