Early Season Guide

The Season Starts In Jordan

This winter, get ready to redefine "Early Season". We've flipped the script on what you can expect during the first weeks of the season – and it starts in Jordan.

New For This Season

Snowmaking runs in our DNA, and thanks to the brand-new snowmaking pipeline into Jordan, we've unlocked the power to triple our snowmaking capacity in the area.

This season, winter operations will kick off in the Jordan Bowl. While Mother Nature will have the final say, our plan is to open with top-to-bottom skiing and multiple trail choices. This will all be serviced by our 8-place Doppelmayr D-Line chairlift, the Jordan 8. Featuring heated seats, a weather-protective bubble, and a ride time of just over 4 and a half minutes, you'll ride to the most open early-season terrain in style.

Dining options will be mere steps away, and guest services will also be available for those with lift tickets or season pass needs. The Guest Services center at the South Ridge Base Lodge will still be open for those looking for assistance before heading out to Jordan.

As the cherry on top, the Jordan Hotel will offer ski-in, ski-out lodging earlier than ever before.

Experience the Future

Sunday River, along with sister resorts Big Sky, Loon, Boyne Mountain, The Highlands, and Brighton are proud to operate state-of-the-art Doppelmayr D-Line chairlifts. The Jordan 8, which opened last year, will be joined by the Barker 6 this coming season.
