Operations Update

The resort is currently closed to support our national effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 and follow state guidelines. This closure includes all services and facilities including hotels, base lodges, and the mountain.

We look forward to re-opening as soon as possible and welcoming guests back to the mountains. Our summer operating plans as of May 1 are as follows:

  • Lodging reservations in the Grand Summit and Jordan Hotels can be made now for arrival beginning July 1, 2020.
  • The Sunday River Golf Club plans to open for the season on June 1.
  • Summer activities including scenic lift rides are expected to open beginning July 3 and operate Fridays to Sundays.

Updates on summer operations will be posted here as they become available. For winter, we've extended our spring sale on 2020/21 New England Passes to June 15 and introduced a loyalty discount and winter assurance promise.

Community Support

During a time like this, it's important that we stick together (figuratively) and help those in need. Below is a list of community programs and resources, and you can find additional information from the Bethel Chamber of Commerce.

  • Bethel Food Liner is open Monday through Saturday with controlled access. 8AM-9AM is for seniors only (ages 60+). Please bring a mask.
  • Many local restaurants are open for pickup orders. Schedules and policies vary, so check the Bethel Chamber page or call to check.
  • Community members have formed a group to delivery and support to those in need. To request help, please visit their online request form. If you'd like to volunteer, please call 207-370-2520, email bethelanr19@gmail.com, or complete the form in the link above.
  • RSU 10 and MSAD 44 have food options for children with designated pick-up spots.
  • The River Fund Maine is offering assistance to families in MSAD 44 who need help paying for internet access so that children can continue with remote learning.

Please support our local businesses. Gift cards, memberships and takeout orders all go a long way.
