Meet the Peaks

Explore It All
Spanning 3 miles across 8 interconnected peaks, Sunday River offers endless ways to explore. With 884 skiable acres, 139 trails and glades, and 19 lifts, every run delivers a new adventure.

White Cap
Home to White Heat, Sunday River’s signature double diamond and one of the steepest trails in the East, White Cap is big, bold, and straight down the fall line. But that’s just the start. From the open summit, you’ll find a mix of challenging steeps, tight tree lines, and hidden pockets of snow waiting to be discovered. With slopeside access to the Grand Summit Hotel, you can drop in from your room or unwind after a run that tests your limits.

Locke
Home to Sunday River’s first trails, Locke blends old-school New England terrain with a modern edge. Two straight-down race trails run from summit to base, framed by rolling terrain and narrow, twisty paths. Whether you’re a weekend warrior or a seasoned pro, Locke delivers the challenge and variety that keeps skiers and riders coming back.

Barker
If Sunday River has a heartbeat, it’s Barker. Home to the brand-new Barker 6 and the classic Barker Bar, this peak has been a Sunday River staple since 1970. Its mix of fun and varied terrain makes it the place to rack up laps or drop into trails that keep you coming back for more. With direct access to the rest of the resort, Barker is the true hub of Sunday River, making it tried, true, and loved by generations.

Spruce
Right in the middle of it all, Spruce is a sweet spot on the map. With a pair of top-notch groomers and a few sneaky steeps, this peak has just the right mix to keep things interesting. It’s the perfect place to carve smooth turns, rack up fast laps, and then launch into the western peaks for even more adventure.

North Peak
Home to the East’s only Chondola, North Peak is where terrain parks, family-friendly runs, and the South Ridge learning area all come together. Whether you’re chasing big air, perfecting your skills, or enjoying laps with the kids, this peak has something for everyone.

Aurora
Looking for variety? Aurora’s got it all. From tree-dotted glades to smooth groomers and leg-burning steeps, this peak is built for skiers and riders who like to mix it up. Tucked just behind Spruce, Aurora has a way of feeling off-the-beaten-path, giving you space to explore, escape, and find your own flow.

Oz
From the moment you step off the lift or drop in from Kansas, Oz delivers a ride full of surprises. Wide-open trails, tree-lined glades, and natural terrain make every run an adventure, and a chance to test your skills on some of the mountain’s most thrilling lines.

Jordan
At the far western edge of the Sunday River range, Jordan Bowl lives up to its name. Home to the Jordan 8 and the iconic Igloo, with slopeside access to the Jordan Hotel, this peak delivers long, scenic cruisers and wide-open glades framed by stunning views of Mt. Washington and the Presidential Range.
