Volunteer Opportunities

Mountain Hosts

Sunday River Mountain Hosts are part of Ski Patrol. They assist our patrol team by seeking out ways to enhance guest experience and to mitigate risk on the mountain, including the promotion of safe skiing and riding practices, and assisting with crowd control/scene safety during emergency responses. Mountain Hosts must be visible and approachable and are responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all guests and team members.

To qualify, all Sunday River Mountain Hosts must be registered members of the National Ski Patrol, maintain a current bystander or higher-level CPR certification, and be able to ski Sunday River's groomed black diamond trails. Basic first aid training will be provided once you join the team.

Ski Patrollers

Sunday River Ski Patrollers monitor mountain areas for injured, reckless, and lost skiers and snowboarders, and for skiing hazards; provide first aid and other necessary assistance to skiers and snowboarders; enforce company skiing safety regulations; complete ongoing training and emergency procedures practice; and perform various trail maintenance tasks.

To qualify, you must be able to ski or snowboard all terrain in all types of conditions and hold valid medical skills and certifications such as EMT, WFR, or OEC certificate or greater. Plus CPR/AED.
